SpeakAnyWay Beta Program
SpeakAnyWay entered the market with an amazing product, zero users, and a team of engineers designing in the dark. Rather than develop features and hope the users would come, I instead created a beta tester program to invite Educators, Speech-Language Pathologists, and Intervention Specialists to try-before-they-buy, provide product feedback, and create a community of promoters.
The Program
A small install base meant we could be nimble and rely on cold outreach to curate a beta tester program. We introduced the program, got users to sign up, and sat back to watch the results.
The Feedback
The immediate data told a clear story: the product was everything professionals dreamed of, but the navigation of the tool was hard to use without training.
The Results
The beta program helped SpeakAnyWay develop product-led design principles so they were developing for their users. The program resulted in contracts in one school district and one enterprise SLP center.
